Badgers

Badger Trust West Sussex, formerly the West Sussex Badger Protection Group, aims to promote the understanding, study and protection of badgers across our county. We are affiliated to the Badger Trust - the nationwide charitable organisation which campaigns to protect badgers across the UK. Bats

Bees
One of the most local large-scale bee keepers is Paynes Southdown Bee Farms Ltd and they can be contacted on 01273 843388. They will collect "Honey" bees from Burgess Hill, Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint area. To distinguish, Honey Bees nest in trees or plants or roofs, bumble bees nest underground. The Cinnamon Trust - A specialist national charity seeking to relieve the anxieties and problems faced by the elderly and terminally ill people and their pets. Volunteers take pets into their own homes during hospitalisation. They provide long term care for pets whose owners have died or gone into care and also dog walking.
