Burgess Hill & District Pubwatch Scheme
Burgess Hill Town Council has been working closely with Sussex Police and local licensees who have formed a group called The Burgess Hill and District Pubwatch Scheme.  The object of the group is to promote a safe environment in which all licensees, staff and customers can work and relax and to reduce drink-related crime and antisocial behaviour.

The group clamps down hard on incidents of assault, criminal damage to property and dealing or taking of drugs on the premises.  If an offender is found guilty of any of the above, then he or she is banned from all participating premises for two years.

Look out for the Pub Watch Poster that will be displayed prominently in participating establishments.  You can then be sure that the landlord is working hard to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience in their pub or wine bar.

A list is available below of all participating licensed premises in the district.

If you are a new licensee to the area and want to find out how to join the Pubwatch scheme, then contact Jo Whitcombe at jo@burgesshill.gov.uk or telephone 01444 238209..
