The Town Council’s Roundabout Sponsorship Scheme has proved very popular with residents and local businesses alike.  In 2003, 17 of the town’s roundabouts and flowerbeds were sponsored by local businesses, generating £8,000 per annum towards the cost of maintenance.  In addition, ‘in kind’ sponsorship has been received in the form of plants provided by Garden Pride Garden Centre.  The colourful floral displays around the town have generated many favourable comments from residents and visitors.
