Burgess Hill Town Council Help Point holds the following Advice Surgeries.
MONDAY
Affinity Sutton - Employment & Training Advice
13.00 - 16.00 (Fortnightly and by Appointment Only)
This is a new FREE advice and guidance service offered to Affinity Sutton residents who are interested in progressing towards training, volunteering or employment, together with information on the financial support available from Affinity Sutton.

TUESDAY
Housing & Council Tax Benefit/ Council Tax/Business Rates
09.15 - 11.15am (No Appointment Necessary)
A Benefits Officer from Mid Sussex District Council is on hand to help with claim forms, receive documents to support benefits claims and provide general advice on Housing and Council Tax benefit. Council Tax queries can also be dealt with and arrangements can be made to pay the charge. Please note that benefits leaflets and forms can be obtained during Help Point opening hours although payments cannot be accepted.

14.30 - 16.30 (By Appointment Only)
To register a birth you need to bring the discharge papers from the hospital or midwife and if you are not married both you and your partner must attend the surgery. If you are registering a death you need to bring the medical certificate from the doctor of the deceased. National Careers Service
10.00 - 17.00 (Fortnightly and by Appointment Only)
The National Careers Service is FREE to all adults (aged 19+) and provides information, careers and skills advice tailored to the individual. |

Housing Advice

The Housing Advice Surgery is here to help if you are facing difficulties with your current housing or you need help to look for somewhere to live. The Housing Advisor can help with applying for a transfer or mutual exchange within social housing, disputes with your landlord, finding somewhere to live privately, applying for social housing, homelessness, low-cost home ownership, tenancy agreements and much more.

Councillor's Planning Surgeries
09.30 - 10.30 (Tri-Weekly - No Appointment Necessary)
The Planning Committee holds planning surgeries on the Saturday prior to their meetings where customers are welcome to raise any issues on planning applications in Burgess Hill.
