LEARNING LINKS (BUDDY SCHEME)

SeniorLink is an immediate response service run by Help the Aged.  The service is installed in subscriber's homes and is available 365 days a year and can be used in the event of an emergency, or if the callers needs reassurance or just wants to hear a friendly voice.  As part of the SeniorLink service, help the Aged also operates the SeniorLink Bogus Caller Scheme which provides reassurance and security when answering the door to unexpected callers.  Contact 01255 473999,  www.helptheaged.org.uk

St Andrews Community Centre, Cants Lane, Burgess Hill – run a cafι on a Mondays 12pm-2pm.

Housebound and Lonely Lunch Club - meet on Thursdays between 9.30am-1.30pm at St Andrews Community Centre.  They can provide transport via the Bluebird Community Bus.  For further information contact Mrs Lester on 01444 242718.

Salvation Army, Cyprus Road, Burgess Hill – meet on Wednesday – for further information telephone 01444 242811.

Lunch and Pray Stop - meets in Burgess Hill from 1pm-3pm on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.  For further information telephone 01444 232337.

Rookwood Residential Home at 26 Silverdale Road, Burgess Hill Tel: 01444 232215 are opening up on Saturday and Sunday lunch times at 12.45 pm for 4 people at a cost of £3.50 per head to include 2 courses plus tea and coffee.  They would then be welcome to stay and chat with residents.
