SANDBAGS

West Sussex County Council will only provide sandbags in an emergency as will the Fire Service.  For all other eventualities sandbags are available from builders’ merchants.

West Sussex County Council will not dispose of sandbags after the emergency; it is the responsibility of the resident.

SUSSEX STUDENT CARD

Sussex Student Card is a scheme for students aged 16–19 living in East Sussex, West Sussex or Brighton & Hove who attend a sixth form or further education college.  The card gives students one third off rail season tickets subject to a minimum period of one month and a minimum fare equivalent to £8 per week.

Students should ask at their school or college for further details and an application form. When issued with their Sussex Student Card they can buy the rail season ticket over the Internet at the Sussex Further Education Season Ticket website.
