History of Burgess Hill
In 1979, in response to the rapid development of the town, Burgess Hill Local History Society began to record and preserve the remnants of the town's past. Over the years the History Society has collected an assortment of artefacts and these can be seen in the Burgess Hill Museum, which is open one Saturday morning a month in Cyprus Hall, Cyprus Road.
