The History Society began in 1979 to record landmarks and changes of that time. Rapid development of Burgess Hill encouraged the Society to capture remnants of the town's past. Over the years the History Society have collected an assortment of artefacts and these can be seen in the Burgess Hill Museum open one Saturday morning a month in Cyprus Hall, Cyprus Road, Burgess Hill.
