There are a number of lunch clubs open on various days in Burgess Hill for the benefit of the older residents of the town.

Age UK Sunday Lunch Club
St Albans Hall, Fairfield Road, Burgess Hill. 10am - 14.30pm. £7.50 per person for tea, coffee, biscuits, a two course roast lunch and a raffle ticket. Call 01444 236497 to book - places must be booked at least 3 days in advance. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome and transport (at cost) is available for those aged 55+.

Meet to Eat – Marten House, The Brow, Burgess Hill – to book a place telephone 01444 258542.

St Andrews Community Centre, Cants Lane, Burgess Hill – run a café on Mondays 12pm-2pm. For further information telephone 01444 232337.

Housebound and Lonely Lunch Club - meet on Thursdays between 9.30am-1.30pm at St Andrews Community Centre. They can provide transport via the Bluebird Community Bus. For further information contact Mrs Lester on 01444 242718.

Salvation Army – meet on Wednesdays from 12.30pm at the Salvation Army Centre, Cyprus Road, Burgess Hill.  For further information telephone 01444 242811.

Lunch and Pray Stop - St Andrews Community Centre, Cants Lane, Burgess Hill from 1pm-3pm on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. For further information telephone 01444 232337.

St John's Church, The hall is open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am to 2pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. Refreshments and light lunches are served, with home made cakes and marmalade on sale. For more information please telephone 01444 244387.  

Rookwood Residential Home at 26 Silverdale Road, Burgess Hill are opening up on Saturday and Sunday lunch times at 12.45 pm for 4 people at a cost of £3.50 per head to include 2 courses plus tea and coffee. They would then be welcome to stay and chat with residents. For further information telephone 01444 232215.

Meals on Wheels
To arrange for a Meals on Wheels service for Burgess Hill or Haywards Heath residents can contact the Mid-Sussex Kitchen at the Women's Royal Voluntary Service on 01444 451462.  You can also call the West Sussex County Council's Catering Advisory team on 01243 777209 to ask any questions or discuss special dietary needs. 

Christmas Dinner
Christmas Dinner is a service for people living on their own.  Ken Chant of the Rotary Club organises transport to different locations to have a Christmas lunch, e.g. Edward House, Burgess Hill, Triple Trees, Burgess Hill or Villa Adastra, Hassocks.  For further information call 01444 245382.
