Neighbourhood Watch Search Teams: the North Sussex Search Team
Every year a staggering 5,000 people are reported missing to Sussex Police. Most turn up eventually but the rest have to be found – the sooner the better, and the greater their chances of their surviving.

Sussex is unique. It is the only county where the police can call on over 350 search volunteers, fully trained to look for missing persons and property which may be crucial to an ongoing enquiry.

Sussex Neighbourhood Watch Search Teams were established over ten years ago primarily to help the police, when requested, to help look for missing vulnerable persons. This could include elderly folk with medical problems who have wandered off, children disappearing into the countryside, or anyone who has suffered an accident in a remote place.

Would you like to join the North Sussex Search Team? They need more volunteers. For more information please visit their website www.northsussexsearchteam.org.uk.
