BURGESS HILL TOWN COUNCIL 11p PER MONTH TAX RISE

Burgess Hill Town Council has agreed a small increase in its element of the Council Tax for the 2016/17 Financial Year, of 1.99%.

The Town Council’s element of the Council Tax will increase from £68.34 p.a. for a Band D property to £69.70; an increase of just 11 pence per month.  The total cost of all of the services provided by Burgess Hill Town Council is £1.34 per week.

Cllr Andrew Barrett-Miles, Leader of the Council, said "The Town Council is proud of the services it provides for our residents and raising the precept by a small amount will help us to continue those services in spite of financially challenging times."  The annual accounts show that investment continues in the Cultural Quarter and providing protection for Community Activities, Annual Town Events and the Summer Festival.
