Pubwatch

pubwatch logoBurgess Hill has a well established Pubwatch Scheme with twenty members currently participating.  The Group works closely with Burgess Hill Town Council and Sussex Police and meet monthly at the Town Council offices.  Members work hard to promote a safe environment in their premises in which all licensees, staff and customers can work and relax.  The main aim is to reduce drink related crime and anti-social behaviour in the town.

The Group clamps down hard on incidents of assault, criminal damage to property and dealing or taking of drugs on licensed premises. If an offender is found guilty of any of the above then he or she is banned from all participating establishments for a minimum of one year.

Look out for the Pubwatch poster that will be displayed prominently in participating establishments. You can then be sure that the Landlord is working hard to ensure that you have an enjoyable experience in their pub or wine bar.
