The first round of applications has now closed, though applications remain open for future forum vacancies.
Burgess Hill Town Council is setting up a Residents Forum as part of a plan to increase engagement with residents in the town. Its purpose is to help the Council in any consultation it carries out with residents, give advice to councillors on policies it is developing and scrutinise decisions councillors make.
The Forum will meet a minimum of four times per year and will consist of 18 members who will serve for two years. 10 members of the Forum will be appointed following applications by residents with a further eight being appointed by the Council.
If you want to be part of this important expansion in democracy and engagement please consider applying for one of the 10 available places. Applications are invited from Burgess Hill residents who are at least 16 years old.
To apply please complete the form below and return it via email to email@example.com or via post to Steve Cridland, Burgess Hill Town Council, 96 Church Walk, Burgess Hill, RH15 9AS.
The first round of applications closed on 31 October 2019, though applications will remain open for future forum vacancies.
