Burgess Hill Theatre Club presents: Blue Stockings by Jessica Swale

Wednesday 15 April - Saturday 18 April

1896. Girton College, Cambridge, the first in Britain to admit women. Whilst the men graduate, the women leave with nothing but the stigma of being a ‘blue stocking’ – an unnatural, educated woman. They are denied degrees, and go home unqualified and unmarriageable.

Blue Stockings follows Tess Moffat, and her fellow first years, as they fight for their right to graduate.

At Burgess Hill Theatre, Church Walk, RH15 9AS.
On Wednesday 15 April – Saturday 18 April, 7.30pm each night and an additional show at 2.30pm on Saturday.
