History Study Day

Burgess Hill U3a is running a Study Day on Thursday July 16th at St Wilfred’s Church Hall.
The day will run from 10.30 am until 3 pm. Bring your own lunch. Tickets are £5 each and the event is open to the public as well as U3a members.
The topics will be the development of Transport in Mid Sussex from its earliest days. The morning session will be about the coming of the railways. The speaker is Gordon Parry who is a Trustee of the Bluebell line. In the afternoon the topic will be the development of the road network and transport in Mid Sussex. The speaker will be Geoffrey Mead who is a renowned expert on the topic
