Scam Busters

Scams are getting harder to spot, and the people behind them don’t discriminate by age, background, or how careful you think you are. That’s why Keymer Hall is holding Scam Busters, a free community talk on Thursday 13th August 2026, open to residents, families, and anyone from the local Burgess Hill community who wants to know more.

At 3:00pm, PCSO Peter Bowyer-Frost will take to the floor at Keymer Hall to talk through the scams currently doing the rounds, from doorstep cons to phone and online fraud, and the warning signs that tend to give them away. Rather than a formal lecture, the session is built around conversation. Peter will open the floor to questions afterwards, so anyone with a concern, a story, or simply an “is this normal?”
