Talk: Surprising Sussex by Chris Horlock

Join the RBL Women’s Section, Burgess Hill on Tuesday 1 April, 7:30pm at Cyprus Hall, Burgess Hill for a fascinating talk from Chris Horlock titled ‘Surprising Sussex’.

Chris will present a wide-ranging mix of little-known Sussex history, featuring people, places and events from many periods. Included are US President Kennedy’s brief visit to Forest Row just months before he was assassinated, the remarkable Sir John Gage of Firle, one time Constable of the Tower of London, plus prosecutor Lord Shawcross and his involvement with Crawley’s ‘Acid Bath Murderer’ John Haigh.
