Christmas Hamper Project 2018

The Christmas Hampers scheme is co-ordinated by a group of local organisations including Burgess Hill District Lions Club, The King’s Church Mid-Sussex, Burgess Hill Community Food Bank, Burgess Hill Youth, Burgess Hill Town Council and  Burgess Hill & District Rotary Club.

Our aims  - We aim to deliver 200 Christmas Hampers containing basic food items and seasonal fare to people in need in Burgess Hill and surrounding villages.  Our intention is to help household budgets stretch a little further and bring some festive cheer to those on low incomes.
Who do we support? - We support families and individuals of all ages who are in need in the area of benefit. Recipients must be nominated by a statutory or voluntary agency which is aware of their circumstances.
Donations and funding - Food items are donated by Burgess Hill Community Food Bank, local businesses and other workplaces, churches, schools, families and individuals. Funding for purchasing additional food items needed to top-up any shortfall is provided by Burgess Hill District Lions Club.
You can help by donating items from the Christmas Hamper food list and dropping them to the various collection points across the town (details are on the flyer below).
