Burgess Hill Green Circle Interpretation Boards

Burgess Hill Green Circle logoThe experience of visitors to the Burgess Hill Green Circle Network will be enhanced by the installation of a series of interpretation boards. The boards will contain information about the birds, butterflies, wildlife, plants, trees and local history in the vicinity of each board. The boards are being installed at the moment (September 2017) and the project will be formally opened by HRH The Duke of Gloucester on 2nd October.

The project also includes a free Children’s Spotter Guide for younger walkers and cyclists, or just the young at heart! When the boards have all been installed in early October, the Guide will be available free of charge from the Town Council’s Help Point at 96 Church Walk or can be downloaded here.

The project has been developed by Burgess Hill Town Council in partnership with Mid Sussex District Council, West Sussex County Council and the Friends of the Burgess Hill Green Circle Network. We are very grateful to CAE for their generous donation in support of the interpretation boards project, and to Tesco #BagsofHelp for their support of the Children's Spotter Guide.

Thank you to Dominic Moore, Chairman of the Friends of Burgess Hill Green Circle Network, Heather Warne of Burgess Hill Local History Society and Nigel Symington & David Cook of the Sussex Branch of Butterfly Conservation, for their expertise and patience!
