Help Point Advice Surgeries

Natwest Community Banking
10am - 12noon (No Appointment Necessary)


Housing & Council Tax Benefit
09.00 - 11.00am (No Appointment Necessary)

A Benefits Officer from Mid Sussex District Council is on hand to help with claim forms, receive documents to support benefits claims and provide general advice on Housing and Council Tax benefit. Please note that benefits leaflets and forms can be obtained during Help Point opening hours although payments cannot be accepted. 

Citizen Advice
10.00am - 4.00pm  (No Appointment Necessary)

Citizen Advice service is free, confidential, independent and impartial, and open to everyone in the community.

12.00noon - 16.00 (By Appointment Only)

To register a birth you need to bring the discharge papers from the hospital or midwife and if you are not married both you and your partner must attend the surgery.  If you are registering a death you need to bring the medical certificate from the doctor of the deceased.  To make an appointment please telephone the West Sussex County Council Registrar’s Office on 01243 642122.

Housing Advice
13.00 – 15.00 (Bi-weekly and By Appointment Only)

The Housing Advice Surgery is here to help if you are facing difficulties with your current housing or you need help to look for somewhere to live.  The Housing Advisor can help with applying for a transfer or mutual exchange within social housing, disputes with your landlord,  finding somewhere to live privately, applying for social housing, homelessness, low-cost home ownership, tenancy agreements and much more. 


Mid Sussex Wellbeing Outreach 
10:00 - 15:30 (By appointment only 01444 477191)

Mid Sussex Wellbeing is a friendly and impartial service which comes from your local authority, and other partners. The majority of their services are free. They can provide you with advice and support on how to make small changes to improve your health and wellbeing, including how to stop smoking, how to become more active or how to make your meals more healthier.
