Burgess Hill in Bloom – Garden Safari and Summer Competition
13 June to 31 July
With the social distancing rules put in place for the Covid-19 pandemic, Burgess Hill in Bloom are this year holding a Virtual Safari and summer competition. The Virtual Safari will run from the 13th June to 31st July 2020 in order to capture a little more of what Burgess Hill has to offer over the coming weeks. As usual they will be (hopefully) raising money for St Peter and St James Hospice.
The gardens will be featured on their Website and Facebook pages and they are asking participating gardeners to submit photographs (with narrative) or a short video (again with narrative) showing their creations to a potentially much larger audience than we previously enjoyed.
The Summer Garden Competition – 2020 this year will not be the same as in previous years. They will be having a photographic competition instead, which will be scheduled to run for entries from the 13th June through to the 31st July 2020. Due to the nature of the competition they have decided not to award their usual trophies but winners and runners-up will receive a Certificate. The categories will be as follows –
- Flower bed
- Vegetable patch
- Water feature
- Container including Hanging Baskets
- Relaxation/seating area.
