Thirty-six young people aged 6–13 took part in a free BMX coaching session on Thursday 9 April 2026 at the BMX track in Burgess Hill, enjoying a day of activity, creativity, and community spirit.

The session was led by experienced coaches Niki Spiers and DJ Mat from Gosport BMX Club, who provided expert guidance to help participants ride safely while building confidence and developing their skills on the track.

Delivered in partnership with Respect Youth Club and generously funded by Burgess Hill District Lions, the event offered more than just BMX riding. Mid Sussex District Council supported the day by funding a graffiti artist, while Sheddingdean Baptist Church organised a craft activity—ensuring there were plenty of free activities for young people and families to enjoy.

The event was organised by Burgess Hill Town Council as part of its popular Easter holiday programme, which saw strong attendance across all activities.
