The Burgess Hill Amenity Tip / Household Waste Recycling Site: Household Waste Recycling Sites (HWRSs) across West Sussex will reopen from Monday 11th May, the County Council has confirmed. Full details can be found here.

The sites were closed temporarily in March to ensure the safety of residents and staff, and to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Social distancing measures will be in place when the sites reopen, the number of people visiting at any one time will be restricted and there may be limits on the waste which can be accepted.

A visit should only be undertaken if the journey can be considered essential. Central government advice still stands: Stay Home; Protect The NHS; Save Lives

Further details will be released later this week:

Household waste and recycling kerbside collections are continuing as normal and garden waste collections are due to resume on Monday 11 May. When the service resumes, customers should place their garden waste bins out for collection on their usual collection day. Anyone who is not sure when their bin is due for collection can check online here. More information about waste collection can be found here.

The Burgess Hill Library has been closed until further notice.

The Triangle Leisure Centre has been closed until further notice.
