Burgess Hill Young Traders Market

Saturday 12 June 2021, 9am – 2pm in Church Walk, Burgess Hill

Burgess Hill Town Council is looking for young traders/entrepreneurs, aged 16 – 30, who are looking for the opportunity to showcase/sell their goods to a wider audience. There is some great local talent to celebrate!

Do you make jewellery, gifts or crafts? Do you design & make clothing and/or other textiles? Are you an artist wanting to sell your paintings? Do you make amazing bread, pies, pastries (do you meet food hygiene requirements)? Do you grow plants and flowers? Whatever your business venture is, Burgess Hill Town Council would like to hear from you.

The Young Traders Market will be part of June’s regular monthly outdoor market in Church Walk and we hope to see lots of shoppers visiting the regular market and our Young Traders Market.

Young Traders Market Local Champion

Young Traders will also have the opportunity to compete and become our Young Traders Market Local Champion and go forward to the London & South East Regional Young Traders Market Finals, run by the National Market Traders Federation. There are 4 categories for the Young Traders Awards – Arts, crafts and gifts; General Retail (clothing, textiles, jewellery, bags & accessories, healthcare & beauty, flowers & plants); Street food (takeaway / hot food), and Grocery (bakery, fruit & veg, delicatessen, sugar & confectionary).

To request an Application Form and book a space at the Burgess Hill Young Traders Market, or to find out more about the event please contact Liz Clark at Burgess Hill Town Council by emailing her at or phone on 01444 238203. We look forward to hearing from you!
