Important Update: Festive Market

Mother nature has beaten us again! Due to the adverse weather conditions expected on Saturday and for the safety of our stall holders and shoppers, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the outdoor Festive Market this Saturday 7th December on Church Walk. This is not a decision that has been made lightly and we are sorry that we have not been able to find an alternative solution this time.

However, we are pleased to confirm the indoor Community Crafters Market at The Kiln will be going ahead this Saturday from 10am to 3pm, so please do support the crafters.

Leader of Burgess Hill Town Council, Cllr Peter Williams said, ‘In view of the weather forecast for Saturday, with the potential for winds gusting up to 60mph, it was a difficult decision to cancel the Festive Market. High winds and gazebos do not mix well, so for safety reasons, it is a sensible decision to make’.
