Treat Day For Unpaid Carers
An annual event for unpaid carers, who are looking after an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend, or partner who is unable to manage without their support.
Unpaid carers enjoyed a day of pampering at Burgess Hill Girls, on Monday 2nd March. There were massages, haircuts and yoga breathing sessions on offer. As well as flower arranging, colour matching and various crafts.
Relevant information services attended and were available for carers to chat to, including Carers Support, West Sussex Young Carers and the NHS Carers Health Team. HILS, West Sussex Library Service and the Prevention Assessment Team also attended.
The students entertained the guests with their amazing musical talents, whilst a beautiful ploughman’s lunch was served.
If you attended we would love to hear your feedback, please complete the Google form.
