Garden Waste

In Burgess Hill garden waste can be collected for disposal as long as it is put in the Garden Waste Wheelie Bins which are collected by Mid Sussex District Council.  On request, MSDC will deliver a standard household wheelie bin with a capacity of 240 litres.  Collections are fortnightly from your property, but not necessarily on the same day as other waste services. Application forms for the Garden Waste Wheelie Bins are available from the Help Point. For more information on the scheme and its charges please visit the www.midsussex.gov.uk/gardenwaste  **Please note the Garden Waste Service Scheme is currently undergoing a review and has a waiting list**

For those residents who would like to take their green rubbish to the Civic Recycling site, this is located at the northern end of London Road next to the Sheddingdean Business Park (look for the two mini roundabouts).

Recycled garden waste that has been turned into compost can be purchased from OLUS - for more details visit http://www.olus.co.uk/.

• For Burgess Hill residents who pay their Council Tax to Lewes District Council, please use the normal black refuse sacks.  Lewes District Council will collect the sacks for a fee. For further details contact their Customer Services Helpdesk on 01273 484999.
