Burgess Hill Allotments

If you are a resident of Burgess Hill you can apply for an allotment plot at one of our six allotment sites – Leylands Road (RH15 8HS), Junction Road (RH15 0LG), Eastdale Road (RH15 0NH), Chanctonbury Road (RH15 9EU), Poveys Close (RH15 9TA) or Gatehouse Lane (BN6 9LD).
Click here to  see  the map of Burgess Hill allotment sites.

‘Please note that both Chanctonbury Road and Gatehouse Lane allotments are included in the Mid Sussex District Plan and the long term future of these sites is uncertain at present.’

Due to extremely long waiting lists only one plot can be allocated per household and plots are exclusively available for Burgess Hill residents or neighbouring villages that do not have an allotment site.

The allotment sizes vary at each site with reasonable rental charges and a reduction for those aged over 65.

All the sites are enclosed and have running water. Five of the sites have a shed for communal use.

To date there are waiting lists for each of our sites. If you would like to go on the waiting list please use the form on the right to submit your details.

An allotment requires commitment and the Council inspect the plots regularly to ensure that they are being used and maintained to an acceptable standard. Information regarding the rules and regulations in relation to taking on the tenancy of an allotment plot can be found in the Supporting Information Document that accompanies the tenancy agreement.
