Green Circle Interpretation Boards

The experience of visitors to the Burgess Hill Green Circle Network has been enhanced by the installation of a series of interpretation boards. The boards contain information about the birds, butterflies, wildlife, plants, trees and local history in the vicinity of each board. The project was formally opened by HRH The Duke of Gloucester.

The project also includes a free Children’s Spotter Guide for younger walkers and cyclists, or just the young at heart! The Guide is available free of charge from the Town Council’s Help Point at 96 Church Walk download a PDF of the Children’s Spotter Guide.

The project has been developed by Burgess Hill Town Council in partnership with Mid Sussex District Council, West Sussex County Council and the Friends of Burgess Hill Green Circle Network. We are very grateful to CAE for their generous donation in support of the interpretation boards project, and to TescoCommunityGrant for their support of the Children’s Spotter Guide.

Thank you to Dominic Moore, Chairman of the Friends of Burgess Hill Green Circle Network, Heather Warne of Burgess Hill Local History Society and Nigel Symington & David Cook of the Sussex Branch of Butterfly Conservation, for their expertise and patience!
