St John’s Park
The Burgess Hill Summer Fayre is back, and this year it’s set to be the biggest one yet.
Join us for a fantastic day of community celebrations at St John’s Park, with something for everyone to enjoy. Expect a packed programme of activities including fairground rides, inflatables, live falconry displays, dog shows and the most stalls we’ve ever had at the event.
The Parade
The parade will be led by Burgess Hill District Lions, followed by Burgess Hill Marching Youth, representatives from seven local primary schools and two community groups. The schools taking part are London Meed, Sheddingdean, Birchwood Grove, Oak Tree, Southway, St Wilfrid’s, and The Gattons. Burgess Hill Youth and Girlguiding will also be joining the parade.
We recently held a brilliant workshop at The Kiln in Burgess Hill, where Burgess Hill Creative Community partnered with us and Same Sky to help bring this year’s parade to life. Teachers from the seven schools, along with Burgess Hill Youth, began creating their summer-themed parade pieces using willow and tissue paper.
The parade has been made possible thanks to generous sponsorship from the Burgess Hill District Lions Club.
Birds of Prey Display
Look out for some very special guests at this year’s Summer Fayre, as Huxley’s Birds of Prey return with their fascinating collection of birds.
They’ll be bringing along a selection of their birds for visitors to meet, along with a couple of flying demonstrations during the afternoon. It’s a brilliant chance to learn about these impressive creatures and see them up close!
Display times will be available on our website closer to the event day.
Stalls
We have more than 75 stalls joining us this year – more than we’ve ever had!
From local groups and charities to independent businesses, there’ll be something for everyone. It’s a great opportunity to discover what’s happening in the local community, chat to friendly stallholders and pick up something special while supporting local.
The Dog Show
The Dog Show is back!! We’ve teamed up once again with Heath Vets to bring a fun and friendly dog show to this year’s Summer Fayre. Whether your pup is young and bouncy or wise and wonderful, there’s a class for every dog!
One the day sign ups open from 11am – there are five fantastic categories to enter:
