The Sidney West Sports & Community Centre

The Sidney West Sports & Community Centre is located off Leylands Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 8HS

The centre’s main hall can accommodate up to 70 people (standing). It is wheelchair accessible and the well equipped kitchen can be used by hirers.  There are a number of tables and chairs (adults and kiddies) for use by hirers.

The centre also has changing rooms and showers for use with the grass outfield that provides both cricket and mini/junior soccer (The grass outfield is bookable via Mid Sussex District Council).

We have very limited availability for bookings in the hall.

Weekends: Currently available Saturdays after 4.30pm until 18th April 2026
and Sundays after 1pm.
Note: The hall is not available on Saturdays from 25th April – 12th September 2026 due to an on-going regular booking
Monday – Friday: Currently only available Monday evenings and Friday evenings after 7.45pm.  One-off slots available Friday afternoons.

Regular booking – Fees

Community groups that commit to weekly or monthly bookings (minimum 6 bookings), Current Rate (to end 31st March): £17.10 per hour.
…. From 1st April 2026 onwards: £17.80 per hour.

Party booking – Fees

The hall is available for weekend party/adhoc bookings throughout the year for children up to and including 13 years of age. There is a no alcohol policy.
Current rate (to end 31st March):  £23.10 per hour, minimum 2.5 hours per hire.
…. From 1st April 2026 onwards: £24.00 per hour.

Commercial organisations are charged at £29.15 per hour for all bookings. This rate will increase from 1st April 2026.

The Centre itself is managed by a board of trustees who form the Sidney West Centre Charity (Reg.1129153). Day-to-day operational issues and bookings are handled by Burgess Hill Town Council, 96 Church Walk, Burgess Hill, RH15 9AS  01444 247726.
