Grants for Community Groups
Burgess Hill Town Council provides grants to local voluntary organisations and community groups to help fund activities that benefit the town’s residents. For further information please contact 01444 238207 or email grants@burgesshill.gov.uk
Grant applications are considered annually by the Grants Committee. The deadline for submission is 30th June each year, following a review of the process in March 2026.
Applications for the 2026/2027 tax year are now closed.
The 2026/2027 applications will be considered on Tuesday 15th September, a copy of the agenda will be available 4 days prior to the meeting on the agendas page of this website. Applicants are welcome to attend the meeting and will sent an email invite prior to the meeting.

Applications for the 2027/2028 tax year will open on 1st April 2027 and close on 30th June 2027.
The online form will be available on this web page from 1 April 2027.
Applicants are advised to read the Guidance Notes and Conditions of Funding prior to starting your application. Key Points to consider:
• Funds must be claimed by 31 March and an evaluation form must be completed prior to funds being released.
• To restrict the scheme to organisations that have ‘Net Current Assets’ of less than £1 million to ensure that the scheme supports smaller groups.
• Preference is given to those groups that have not received a grant in the last 24 months.
• Minor and Major grants are considered at same meeting and there is one funding pot available.
Minor Grants (up to £1,000)
Minor Grants of up to £1,000 are available for running costs as well as capital expenditure. The application deadline for Minor Grants Applications is 30 June, for consideration within three months.
