Grants for Community Groups

Burgess Hill Town Council have changed to an ANNUAL grants process to continue to be able to support local community groups and local voluntary organisations efficiently. This change came into effect on October 1st 2024.

Applications must be received by 31 January 2026, and will be considered during February and March 2026. There will be no awards issued prior to this time, so please consider this when submitting your application.

There were also two further changes to the ‘Conditions of Funding’, which are;
• To restrict the scheme to organizations that have ‘Net Current Assets’ of less than £1 million to ensure that the scheme supports smaller groups.
• To state that preference is given to those groups that have not received a grant in the last 24 months.

Minor Grants (up to £1,000)

Minor Grants of up to £1,000 are available for running costs as well as capital expenditure. The application deadline for Minor Grants Applications is 31 January, for consideration during February and March.
